Get to know the brief on axial fans
The most popular type of fan used in air circulation and ventilation is the Axial-flow fan. It is also used in HVAC, exhaust systems and drying ovens. Here is a simple guide to the types of axial fans to get you acquainted with its different applications.
The major types of axial flow fans are:
Tube axial: these fans produce medium pressure and high flow. As compared to propeller these are more efficient, approximately 65%. One can find its uses in drying ovens and exhaust systems.
Van axial: These fans operate on high pressure and medium flow. These are very much similar to tube axial with only one difference that it has guiding vanes that improve efficiency by straightening the flow. In fact, these are the most energy-efficient fans
Propeller: They run at low speed and average temperatures. You will find propellers handling large volume of air at low pressure. The major function of it is to create zero static pressure. You will find the large application of such fans in air-cooled condensers and cooling towers. The efficiency is only 50%.
